This master-quality rock crystal carving represents a kitsune, a Kami or spirit venerated in Shinto practice. They are magical shapeshifters and serve as messengers to the gods, and so are often petitioned at shrines to carry the prayers of petitioners. The tails of the kitsune flow about itself in a highly polished aura, while the body is delicately burnished to a satin finish for a visual contrast. The crystal below features a lovely example of golden healer quartz, a stone with strong healing properties which can aid in the recovery from physical and emotional wounds.
