They are magical shapeshifters and serve as messengers to the gods, and so are often petitioned at shrines to carry the prayers of petitioners. This gorgeous figure perches upon a freeform golden rutile crystal that suggests a human heart. This specimen of golden rutile is particularly fantastic and boasts a wealth of shimmering rays piercing through the entire carving. 8 3/4” high, 6” wide, 3” deep as it rests upon its beautiful custom-made carved wood stand, which depicts waves and clouds surrounding an island mountain rising from the sea.
